Three Year Old-Early Childhood Teacher

Gingerbread House is seeking a DCFS qualified teacher!

The ideal candidate will be fun, loving, energetic and have a level 3 ECE credential from INCCRRA/IDHS. They will also enjoy modeling how to "learn through play" while incorporating developmental milestone skills. Our goal is to develop children to the best of their ability by doing our best to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Provide and teach basic care routines
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
• Develop and implement weekly/bi-weekly lesson plans that follow Creative Curriculum standards
• Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track with screenings and assessments
• Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress and health of their children
• Observe children’s interactions and promote respect
• Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action
• Collaborate with other colleagues
• Adhere to the Illinois Learning Standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources

Skills

• Working knowledge of child development and various education methods
• Patience, flexibility and love for children
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Certificate in first aid and CPR

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
