Role Overview

We’re looking for a Thumbnail Designer who combines creativity, platform understanding, and a strong sense of visual storytelling. Your designs should not just look great—they should drive clicks, spark curiosity, and boost watch decisions across YouTube and Instagram.

You’ll collaborate closely with editors, content strategists, and creators to craft scroll-stopping visuals that elevate performance and align with brand goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-performing, eye-catching thumbnails for YouTube and Instagram that boost CTR and audience retention.
• Work with content strategists, editors, and creators to understand narrative, tone, and objectives before designing.
• Translate concepts and scripts into compelling visual hooks that make viewers stop scrolling.
• Use performance insights (CTR, impressions, A/B tests) to iterate and improve design quality.
• Maintain brand consistency while adapting visuals for diverse clients, verticals, and content styles.
• Stay updated with visual trends, platform best practices, and high-converting design patterns.
• Create and manage design files, templates, and organized assets to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Deliver designs at speed without compromising on quality, clarity, or storytelling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Thumbnail Designer or Graphic Designer specializing in digital content.
• A strong portfolio showcasing thumbnails or social visual work that demonstrates clear performance impact.
• Good understanding of YouTube & Instagram: viewer psychology, click-through behavior, and content trends.
• Experience working in a fast-paced content or agency environment is a plus.

Required Skills

• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent design tools).
• Strong grasp of composition, color grading, typography, and visual hierarchy for mobile-first design.
• Ability to turn creative briefs into high-converting visual concepts quickly.
• Awareness of social media trends, creator culture, and high-performing visual patterns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design requests with efficiency and consistency.
