Tig Welding

Primary Purpose of Role: The primary purpose of the Tig Welding Technician is to perform tig welding operations on various metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, assemble and fusion weld various metal components using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), both manual and automatic.
  • Demonstrate ability and skills to certify on all welding techniques for sheet, tube groove, and fillet welds in all base metal groups appropriate to product mix.
  • Inspect weld quality to assure weld joints are of acceptable quality without blowouts, weld beads are consistent, accurate, and meet size and/or other applicable specification, and that proper weld techniques are being followed.
  • Setup, adjust, and verify welding equipment, fixture, jog and machinery is functioning properly and meeting all appropriate specifications for task/operation.
  • Measure and verify welded components meet specified blueprints, sketches and/or specifications using various measurement equipment necessary to task.
  • Perform operations/tasks as specified on router.
  • Dispose of weld rods properly in assigned waste cans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
