Timber HGV Driver

Overview
Ferguson Transport & Shipping are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Timber Driver to join their team based in Fort William or Invergordon. Previous timber haulage experience is required for this role.

Our drivers are required to have the following skills and attributes:

• HGV Class 1 driving licence and previous timber haulage driving experience, including crane operations
• An good understanding and knowledge of the EU/WT Regulations
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with all colleagues
• Ensuring safe and secure loading of cargo at all times
• To undertake to complete all necessary daily checks / records and complete the appropriate paperwork as required
• An Emergency First Aid at Work certificate is an advantage, however not essential as training can be provided

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £16.00-£17.25 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fort William PH33: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• timber haulage: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Category CE Licence (required)

Work authorisation:

• United Kingdom (required)

Work Location: In person
