Time Clerk

Merrick Engineering is an internationally known manufacturer of closet and home organization products. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented time clerk to join our production department.

Job Summary:

The incumbent will support the shift supervisor with the employee's attendance matter and production reports.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

a. Record employee clock-in and clock-out times using time management software and manual logs.

• Participation in all safety and workplace training communication for your scheduled shift.
• Verify the work schedule, the count of the employees attending the schedule to work, and any modification needed to be made as requested by the supervisor.
• Ensure that employees are complying with the dress code, i.e., jewelry, shoes, etc., and personal protective equipment usage, and report discrepancies to the supervisor.

f. Helps the supervisor prepare penitents' forms and lists employees who are absent, late, or no-shows.

• Responsible for receiving and documenting phone calls of employees not coming to work, answering all incoming calls after business hours, and delegating emergency calls to employees.
• Write down the employees’ in/out break times and ensure they return to their work stations on time.
• Assists with providing the supervisor with blank PTO, disciplinary, and accident investigation forms.
• Take production information from QC/Trainer and enter it into Macola. Print the report, and review production efficiency with the supervisor.
• Print labels used on their shift.
• Enter component production into Macola to release raw materials.
• Print the master item sheet and provide it to the QC/trainer or supervisor to post at each machine.

Knowledge: Basic computer and calculator operations. Knowledge of company policy relating to attendance, dress code, etc.; data entry; basic Macola and Access; hanger gathering and packaging techniques. Literacy and basic math.

Skills: Communication skills, detail-oriented, visual inspection. ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

2nd shift available

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
