Job Summary

The Tire Dispatcher and Parts Administrator coordinates tire services and manages administrative tasks within the Parts Department. Key responsibilities include overseeing multiple tire service work orders through service software, staging tires and supplies for the following business day, and ensuring accurate invoicing of work orders. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with forklift technicians to ensure accurate ordering of tires.
  • Identify, source and order tires, rims, wheels, casters, and parts for forklifts and various miscellaneous warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure that the pricing is accurate for parts and supplies on purchase orders, work orders and quotes.
  • Order tires and parts from vendors via email, phone, and web-portals.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding tires and parts ETA and delays.
  • Pull orders, place stock orders, and maintain appropriate tire inventory levels, prioritizing customer demands.
  • Return incorrect tires and parts to vendors promptly.
  • Professionally resolve customer complaints.
  • Update electronic parts records and inventory counts in the computerized system.
  • Handle email, phone inquiries, and assist walk-in customers.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety rules and guidelines. Avoid injuries and damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean-up of work area debris and complete all necessary company training in a timely manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the department manager.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with installation of forklift tires and other material handling tires using a hydraulic tire press.
  • Experience in construction parts, industrial parts, or agricultural parts, and material handling equipment (forklift) is a plus.
  • Possess strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven, service environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Able to work within Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbal, and written, with management and customers.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have a valid state issued Driver’s License with a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
  • The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

The work is performed in an office and warehouse / distribution center setting. Employees may work with co-workers’ side-by-side with a moderate level of activity being performed.
