The Title IX Coordinator provides University-wide leadership, oversight, and coordination of Hampton University’s compliance with Title IX and related federal and state civil rights requirements. The Title IX Coordinator has responsibility for Title IX matters involving students, faculty, staff, administrators, applicants, visitors, contractors, and other members of the University community.
The Title IX Coordinator ensures that reports of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, retaliation, and related misconduct are addressed promptly, fairly, impartially, and consistently. The Title IX Coordinator also advises senior University leadership regarding compliance, institutional risk, policy development, training, prevention, and corrective action.
A Juris Doctor degree, terminal degree, recognized Title IX certification, prior service as a Title IX Coordinator, and experience within a residential higher education environment are preferred.
