Position: Processor

Classification: Full Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Responsible for complete processing of residential purchase and refinance real estate transactions and must have knowledge of all processing practices in the following markets: DC, MD, and VA.

Responsibilities:

· Process, obtain, and review all documents pertaining to the transaction, to include but not limited to:

o Sales contract

o Abstract/Title Report

o Survey

o Tax Information

o HOA Information

o Payoff Information

· Coordinate with agents, lenders, and/or sellers and buyers to obtain any outstanding information, including payoffs and/or HOA or condominium association information.

· Schedule settlement with all parties

· Correct any existing title problems, e.g. unreleased trusts, Mechanics Liens, Judgments

· Work in conjunction with Settlement Attorney, Underwriter, and Processing team as needed to move transaction to settlement

· Prepare all settlement documents and final Closing Disclosure

· Coordinate with lenders for loan package, complete information on lenders’ documents, review all lender instructions and comply with all terms at or before settlement

· Work in conjunction with post closing team to ensure file is balanced

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required/Associates degree or college work preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant work experience in the title/settlement industry
  • Knowledge of DC, MD, and VA processing practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Beneficial (non-required) Skills:

  • Proficiency in Qualia software platform
  • Title Licensed in any/all jurisdictions (DC, MD, and VA)
  • Notary commission in any/all jurisdictions (DC, MD, and VA)

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects and documents; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Employee may use office equipment such as telephone, computer, computer software, calculator, printer, copier, and facsimile.
  • Work environment: Employees are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
