Chase Abstract is an established title insurance and settlement agency with more than twenty years of experience handling sophisticated commercial and residential transactions across New York and New Jersey. We write through four national underwriters — Old Republic, Stewart, Security Title, and Westcor — and we've built a modern, technology-forward operation where experienced professionals can do their best work. We are growing, and we're looking to add a seasoned Senior Title Officer to our close-knit team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on production seat for someone who can own a file from start to finish. You'll put files together from order through policy — ordering searches, assembling complex commercial and residential files, and keeping every deal moving smoothly to the closing table. You'll work directly with attorneys and lenders throughout the transaction and serve as a go-to resource for the team when coverage questions arise.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential and commercial files from order through policy issuance
• Order searches and assemble complete, accurate file packages, including complex commercial files
• Coordinate directly with attorneys and lenders to keep transactions on track
• Assist with the closing desk, fundings, and title policy issuance as needed
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on coverage across the team
• Step in across roles to provide coverage when colleagues are out or volume increases

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of title experience, including solid commercial experience
• Genuine, well-rounded experience across both residential and commercial transactions
• Working knowledge of New York and New Jersey title
• Broad familiarity with the many facets of the title insurance business
• A dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes true ownership of their work
• A team player who is glad to pitch in wherever needed
