Main Purpose of Job

To perform pulmonary function testing, under supervision of a licensed physician, for the diagnosis and treatment of lung capacity and to perform respiratory therapy to treat related respiratory diseases.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Perform all pulmonary function procedures and sleep medicine techniques and studies according to standard procedure, patient safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests e.g. spirometry with reversibility studies, lung volume and gas transfer studies.
• Conduct Polysomnography test according to standard practice.
• Evaluate data, results and clinical documentation for quality and accuracy.

Required Education

• A Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited educational institution.
• A current license and registration or certification to practice as a Pulmonary Function Technologist from country of origin and/or education.
• Current registration with NBRC or CSRT as a registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required Experience

At least 2 years postgraduate experience working as a Pulmonary Function Technologist.

Required Job Skills And Knowledge

• Patient safety and experience principles.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• UAE healthcare regulatory framework and related requirements.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.
