Toddler and Preschool Teacher Openings - Delaware/Lewis Center Area

Job Summary
Full and Part Time positions. Part-time positions are 12-6. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler, Preschool and Support Teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves engaging with children in various activities that promote learning through play, exploration, and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques to guide children’s behavior and promote positive interactions.
  • Assess students’ progress through standardized testing and informal evaluations to tailor instruction to individual needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s development and classroom activities.
  • Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
  • Teach physical education activities that promote health, coordination, and teamwork among preschoolers.
  • Foster an understanding of childhood development principles in daily interactions with students.
  • Offer tutoring support as needed to help children achieve their learning goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a structured yet flexible learning environment.
  • Proficient in lesson planning that engages students and meets developmental milestones.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing practices for early childhood education is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of toddler care principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ability to teach physical education concepts suitable for preschool-aged children.
  • Familiarity with childhood development theories and practices is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children through creative teaching methods.
