Toddler & Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant, Toddler & Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development. This role involves fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in preschool-aged children through innovative lesson planning, effective behavior management, and personalized support. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the foundational skills necessary for children's future academic success and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills, including Montessori methods if applicable.
  • Plan and execute daily lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment conducive to learning.
  • Monitor and assess children's developmental progress through observations, standardized testing, and documentation.
  • Support children with special education needs or early intervention requirements by adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among students.
  • Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding child welfare, progress reports, and developmental milestones.
  • Incorporate various teaching methods such as tutoring, classroom management techniques, and physical education to enhance learning experiences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment to meet health and safety standards.
  • Stay current with early childhood education trends, including literacy education, childcare best practices, and daycare regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; private school experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development across multiple disciplines including math, literacy education, special education, and physical education.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and early intervention programs.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs of students including toddlers care.
  • Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute qualifications where appropriate.
  • Passion for fostering a positive learning environment that promotes child welfare and holistic development.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.50 - $12.50 per hour
