Toddler Teacher 10 AM - 6:30 PM

Children’s Lighthouse is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. The Toddler Teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for toddlers. This role is essential in supporting each child’s early growth, independence, and development while maintaining strong communication with families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, loving, and supportive environment for toddlers in accordance with Children’s Lighthouse standards.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, language, and social development.
  • Support toddlers in developing independence, including self-feeding, toilet training readiness, and self-help skills.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets state, licensing, and Children’s Lighthouse requirements.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are followed, including sanitization, supervision, and positive guidance practices.
  • Observe, document, and communicate each child’s progress and developmental milestones to families and the director.
  • Build strong, positive, and professional relationships with families; provide daily communication about their child’s routine and progress.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions as required.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain a supportive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Knowledge of toddler development, positive guidance, safety practices, and early learning standards.
  • Actively engage with children on the floor and in play.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM) consistently.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
