WHAT YOU WILL LOVE TO DO:

• Work in harmony with the co-teacher to run an inspiring, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration and decision-making by the children
• Provide supervision and daily functions for the class following the Kiddie Academy policies and WA state guidelines (WAC)
• Partner well with co-teacher in implementing our Life Essentials curriculum and nationally accredited program (NAEYC)
• Help children with their nutrition and hygiene needs
• Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:

• Passion for inspiring and caring for children
• Pleasant/friendly demeanor and great communicator with parents
• Very reliable attendance to support Teacher:Children ratios
• Physical ability to work with children at eye level and/or lift them (upto 40lbs) as necessary to help with hygiene and safety needs.
• Well organized and planned for running classroom with a co-teacher
• Must meet Washington State requirements (Background check, STARS, CPR/First Aid, updated vaccinations). If you meet Oregon requirements, we can assist you in the process for Washington.
• Degree/Certification/Credits in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus, or equivalent experience.
