Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to support classroom activities and foster a nurturing environment for young children. This role involves assisting lead teachers in implementing educational programs, ensuring the safety and well-being of toddlers, and promoting developmental growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, and educational exercises to encourage learning and curiosity.
- Monitor children’s behavior and provide positive guidance to foster good conduct and social skills.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and learning materials regularly.
- Observe and document children's progress, communicating any concerns or notable developments to the lead teacher or parents.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans under supervision.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings.
- 45 DCF hours
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- First aid certification is preferred; ability to respond calmly in emergency situations.
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and children.
- Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude toward young learners.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining flexibility in daily routines.
- Prior experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
