Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula and engaging activities that promote learning through play. Your role will also involve collaborating with parents and caregivers to support each child's growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with disabilities or special needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that is conducive to learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
  • First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all students.
  • Ability to engage children through creative teaching methods, including play-based learning.
  • Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
