Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social development for toddlers.
  • Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
  • Engage children through interactive lessons, storytelling, music, art activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
  • Monitor and document each child's progress, including observations related to childhood development and early intervention needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's milestones, challenges, and successes regularly.
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with childcare regulations.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, Montessori methods, and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience in curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
  • Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, teaching physical education, and implementing standardized testing where applicable.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively work with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists in child welfare.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons through lesson planning and tutoring that foster developmental growth across multiple domains.
  • Classroom experience in daycare or private school settings that emphasize childhood development best practices.
