Toddler Teacher

We are now seeking dedicated toddler/early childhood teachers to join our team! Ideal candidates will have a strong passion for early childhood education and child development.

Job Description includes, but is not limited to the following:

Requirements:

• Understands all rules and regulations of local and state agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
• Must sustain standard qualifications of local childcare regulatory agency
• Previous experience teaching and/or working with young children is preferred
• Must be available to work fulltime hours

Physical Requirements:

• Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting at least 35 pounds

Responsibilities/Skills:

• Interact with and supervise children daily; the ability to meet each child’s individual needs in a group setting
• Evaluate individual developmental progress of each child
• Ability to communicate and connect with co-workers, parents, and children in a positive and respectful manner
• Maintain professional personal appearance, professional attitude, and work conduct
• Adhere to The PREP School’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Comfortable teaching immersive curriculum and implementing programming in a private preschool setting; extend learning opportunities in Enrichment Classrooms
• Comfortable conducting parent/teacher conferences
• Follow and implement classroom daily schedules and learning plans
• Ability to maintain a warm and nurturing environment
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Flexibility to assist in any classroom or capacity as needed

Upon Employment

• Valid Driver’s License
• Obtain Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid with Rescue Breathing and Choking
• Obtain a Background Check and Fingerprint-based Background Check
• 24 Hours of Pre-Service Training (If Applicable)
