Toddler Teacher (Ages 18–36 Months)

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to nurture and educate children aged 18 to 36 months. In this vital role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters early childhood growth. Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management strategies
  • Engage children in hands-on activities that support childhood development milestones, including language acquisition, motor skills, and cognitive growth
  • Monitor and document each child's progress using standardized assessments and observations to inform individualized learning plans
  • Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's development, daily activities, and any concerns
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in compliance with childcare regulations and best practices in early childhood education
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suitable for toddlers

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers aged 18–36 months
  • Experience in curriculum development focused on early literacy education, math readiness, and physical education for young children
  • Proven classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment while managing toddler behaviors effectively
  • Ability to work with children requiring special education or early intervention services with patience and adaptability
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and support staff
  • Familiarity with classroom experience in daycare or preschool settings; knowledge of standardized testing methods for early learners is a plus
  • Competence in lesson planning that incorporates Montessori techniques or other child-centered educational approaches
  • Knowledge of child welfare standards and best practices in childcare settings
