West Nashville Preschool is dedicated to providing full-time childcare for children from six weeks to five years old. Our licensed program emphasizes a warm, loving Christian environment where children can thrive spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally.

Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:15-5:15, year round.

Summary

We are seeking two (2) passionate Toddler Teachers to join our team at West Nashville Preschool. This role is essential in creating a nurturing and educational atmosphere for our youngest learners. The ideal candidate will help foster spiritual growth and development while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child.

This position can be physically strenuous. Staff must be able to climb stairs, play in the floor, lift young children, move quickly, prioritize tasks and needs, communicate well, etc. But just as important is having a willingness to work closely and respectfully with others while adhering to DHS child care guidelines.

Compensation: Your base pay is determined by your level of EDUCATION. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE increases your compensation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and development for young toddlers.
• Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for children.
• Observe and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and well-being.
• Foster spiritual growth through Christian teachings and activities.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience.

Position Hours

• Tiny Tots (13-18 months) 8:45-5:15 (closing shift)
• Toddlers (18-24 months) 8:45-5:15 (closing shift)

Requirements

• Experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is required.
• Strong understanding of child/toddler development principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families and staff.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children.
