We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team on an urgent basis. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Engage children in interactive activities that support early intervention strategies and foster childhood development milestones.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental achievements through clear and positive updates.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies suited for toddler care.
- Maintain detailed records of children's activities, progress reports, and classroom observations to support individualized learning plans.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience in curriculum development with a focus on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention practices to support diverse learners.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children aged 1-3 years old in daycare or preschool settings.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members professionally and empathetically.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons using innovative methods such as Montessori or standardized testing approaches when appropriate.
- Classroom experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
