Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and fabrication, with experience in creating precision tools and dies used in the production of various components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to read and interpret schematics, and proficiency in operating both manual and CNC machinery.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble precision tools, dies, and fixtures according to specifications.
- Operate lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment to produce high-quality components.
- Utilize electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques for intricate designs.
- Conduct inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide fabrication processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing tools and dies is preferred.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, including welding techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
