Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tooling Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical expertise, with experience in industrial maintenance, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex machinery, perform troubleshooting, and contribute to the efficiency of our production processes. Duties
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair tooling and machinery within the manufacturing environment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems
- Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including hydraulics, low voltage systems, and high voltage components
- Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely for maintenance tasks
- Conduct welding operations using <LOCATION> welding techniques when necessary
- Manage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) entries for work orders and maintenance logs
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical systems, high voltage, and industrial mechanics
- Provide technical support during startup or commissioning of new equipment or systems
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to support customer service initiatives when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial mechanic work or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility
- Strong electrical experience including knowledge of low voltage, high voltage systems, and industrial electrician practices
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and troubleshooting electrical circuits
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, HVAC/R systems, welding techniques (<LOCATION> welding preferred), and precision measurement instruments
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely and effectively in a manufacturing setting
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting
- Knowledge of analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Background in military service or field service roles is advantageous but not required
- Excellent communication skills in English; customer service orientation is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills is essential for this role
