Tools Maker & Designer

Position Responsibilities:

· Works with technical counterparts and others to develop solutions to complex tool setup activities (e.g., alignment, leveling).

· Performs visual inspections on tools using appropriate documentation. Makes major repairs. Manufactures assembly and fabrication tools using various manual and computer-controlled machines, hand tools and precision alignment equipment.

· Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required.

· Provides tooling support to other organizations.

· Designs various part fabrication and assembly tools per part engineering drawings or customer requests to enable production using computer or paper tool design processes.

· Identifies problems and coordinates follow up communications with support organizations for problem resolution. Reverse engineers designs and fabrication processes for parts.

· Demonstrates functionality of complex fabrication and assembly tools to approving authority by manufacturing first part with new tool. Resolves problems with tool to produce acceptable parts and assemblies.

· Works under general direction.

· Mentors less experienced employees in resolving issues and completing job responsibilities of a complex nature

Requirement:

• 2+ years of work experience with Tooling Design

• 2+ years of work experience with Equipment Repair

• 2+ years of work experience with Machinery

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $46.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
