Top bar manager position for Mountain Crust Catering (wood-fired pizza parties)

Hello Denver! Our group of pizza party professionals is looking for a bar manager to become the face and brains of our beverage department.

Quick background on Mountain Crust: We are full-service wedding caterers who travel all over the front range stuffing people’s faces with wood-fired pizza and tasty bevs. If you are interested in helping us create catered experiences for our clients from start to finish, do some research on us to see if you think you may be a fit for this.

This is a leadership position for our company. We are looking for an enterprising individual who is capable of creating systems, managing people, and overseeing a bartending culture that reflects the outgoing, fun, and approachable vibe that our company is known for.

MC’s Bar Manager will be responsible for ordering and managing all bar related inventory; training and overseeing the development of other bartenders; handling bar team check ins; being a spreadsheet savant to track expenses and sales; curating bar menus; creating prep lists; dancing behind, in front, or on top of the bar; and being a kick-ass bartender.

This person is expected to bring positive energy to each shift and create a fun environment for both our team and our guests to party in.

In this role you can expect:

  • To be the head honcho of all things MC bartending.
  • Working with our sales and venue managers to coordinate custom bar packages for our clients.
  • Rockin’ the bar at Mountain Crust Event Venue (MCEV) one shift and doing the same at one of our off-site events the next.
  • Tracking inventory, expenses, and revenue.
  • Finding cool brands and bottles to stock behind MCEV’s bar.
  • Organizing and executing prep and packing lists.
  • Playing a large part in hiring/developing MC’s bar team.
  • Being a weekend warrior with one or two admin days during the week.
  • To anchor down with us during our April-November catering season and then be as free as a bird during our off-season.
