Top Grade Journeymen Pipefitter/Plumbers

BAC Group of Companies is seeking to employ Top Grade Journeymen Pipefitter/Plumbers. Successful candidates must have previous experience installing to a high-quality commercial, industrial, and hospitality standard. Applicants must be able to read drawings, perform equipment take offs and material take offs and have knowledge and experience fabricating and installing pipe, and equipment support systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Applicants with medical gas installation, brazing and welding certificates would be preferred
• Must have experience working on copper, steel, cast, wrought iron, brass, fiberglass piping, plastic both push joint tubing and solvent, both grooved, threaded, or welded piping systems and boilers
• Applicant must have knowledge of the theory, installation and the practical application of steam and condensate systems, chilled and condenser water systems, water feeders and controllers
• Hydronic piping experience and understanding of venting requirements
• Sewage pumping station installation and extensive maintenance experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have valid Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter certification
• ASME Section IX B31,1 Welder qualification
• Advanced technical skills and experience related to piping installations and service
• Back Flow preventer testing certificate
• Advanced mechanical aptitude
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be a self-starter and work well with limited supervision
• Good customer service skills
• Good organizational skills and the ability to keep tools and work area tidy
• Minimum 2 years working in/around Hospitality and Health Care facilities
• Experience working with/on HVAC control systems would be an asset.
