Tow Truck Driver/Operator

Tow Truck Driver Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks safely to transport disabled, damaged, or illegally parked vehicles.
• Respond promptly to roadside assistance and emergency service calls.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using proper towing equipment and procedures.
• Perform vehicle recoveries from accident scenes, ditches, and other difficult locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tow trucks and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, mileage, vehicle conditions, and customer information.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, law enforcement, and emergency personnel.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Assist stranded motorists with services such as jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery.
• Keep tow trucks clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Complete paperwork and electronic reports accurately and on time.
• Handle customer concerns professionally while providing excellent service.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate flatbed, wheel-lift, and recovery tow trucks.
• Knowledge of vehicle towing, recovery techniques, and safety procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles and roadside assistance procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
