Tower Crane Engineer – Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Set up tower cranes according to manufacturer specifications and site requirements.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical crane systems.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all crane operations meet local safety regulations and international standards. Coordinate with site safety officers and crane operators.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot faults and provide on-site technical assistance to crane operators and construction teams.
- Design & Layout: Assist in planning crane foundation and layout, especially for high-rise or complex structures.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of inspections, repairs, and modifications. Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in tower crane operations, preferably with experience in Comedil or similar systems.
- Certifications: Crane safety certification and electrical/mechanical licenses are often required.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools for crane layout and design.
