Towing & Recovery Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Towing & Recovery Dispatcher to coordinate and manage towing operations efficiently. This role involves scheduling recovery services, communicating with drivers and clients, and utilizing various transportation management systems to ensure timely and effective service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in data entry, and familiarity with logistics and fleet management tools. Responsibilities

• Coordinate towing and recovery operations by dispatching drivers using multi-line phone systems and transportation management software such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GIS, GPS, and transportation planning tools to optimize routes and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, drivers, and internal teams through phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
• Manage data entry related to dispatch activities, vehicle status, and service records accurately within AS400 and other relevant systems.
• Monitor fleet management systems to track vehicle locations, status updates, and maintenance schedules.
• Assist with shipping & receiving documentation when necessary, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements within logistics and supply chain workflows.
• Handle inquiries related to freight, 3PL services, and transportation scheduling promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Proven experience with dispatching in transportation or logistics environments.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or similar platforms.
• Strong analysis skills for route optimization, fleet utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and multi-line phone systems.
• Knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, supply chain processes, transportation planning, freight management, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management systems like AS400.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. This role is essential for ensuring smooth towing operations through effective dispatching and coordination of recovery services while leveraging advanced transportation management tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
