Tractor brush cutters and litter clean up - Highway maintenance

Positions available for tractor brush cutting and hand litter removal along side interstate roadways around the Albany area.

4-6 Tractor brush cutter positions available. - consists of safely operating agricultural tractors with bush cutters to cut down foliage along side of highways. Including slopes and wet areas. Safety crossing traffic lanes, bridges and overpasses. Performing daily pre and post trip checklists, safety checks, minor servicing and maintenance of equipment including washing, daily greasing, shear pin replacement and other minor maintenance.

Qualifications:

Able-bodied and good physical form

Valid drivers license

2 seasons of past experience brush cutting with tractors or skidsteers.

2 season of medium/heavy equipment experience

Must pass drug and alcohol testing.

2-4 safety truck driver positions available (non-cdl) - Consists of driving flat bed with attentuator, transporting litter personal and escorting brush cutters during operations, set up and removal of road signs as necessary. dumping off litter debris at the end of each day. Performing daily pre and post trip checklists, safety checks, minor servicing and maintenance of equipment including washing, daily greasing, shear pin replacement and other minor maintenance. Consistently communicating with tractor and litter operators to help ensure all safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

Able-bodied and good physical form

Valid drivers license

2 seasons of experience driving 6 wheel/one-ton trucks or larger

2 seasons of past experience of roadside safety work, as a flagger, operator, truck driver, etc.

2 season of medium/heavy equipment experience

Must pass drug and alcohol testing.

3-6 Litter pick up positions available -consists of walking along side roadside fields and hand-picking litter and garbage, bagging and hauling bags in flat bed safety truck, unloading bags in dumpster at the end of the day.

Able-bodied and good physical form.

Walk several miles per day without issue.

Navigate slopes and wet areas as necessary.

Follow instructions of foreman as necessary.

Assist with maintenance and pre/post trip safety checks at the start and end of each day.
