Our client, a financial services and digital payments company, is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager.

This position is an 8-month remote contract. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA, without requiring H-1B visa sponsorship. The hourly rate is $128.28, W2 + paid holidays through Talent Table. No Corp-to-Corp.


The Role:

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution — crafting engaging, high-impact content that drives merchant visibility, product adoption, and customer engagement across Client’s owned and paid channels.
You’ll serve as the central connection between Partner Marketing, Ads/Affiliate, CRM, and Social teams, ensuring that every piece of content — from in-app editorials to major trade campaigns — aligns with our brand story and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Marketing & Merchant Promotions

  • Support trade marketing initiatives for seasonal and cultural moments (e.g., Cyber Week, Holiday, Back-to-School) that drive product adoption and merchant engagement.
  • Build and manage monthly content calendars aligned with key business moments, seasonal trends, and merchant partnerships.
  • Develop campaign strategy briefs and lead the creative process from concept to execution — including creative reviews, merchant approvals, and QA for launch.
  • Collaborate with CRM and Partner Marketing to ensure content reflects trade moments, promotional offers, and merchant opportunities.
  • Use performance insights to optimize storytelling and improve future content performance.


In-App & Editorial Content

  • Lead editorial content creation and publishing for the Afterpay app, developing compelling shopping and merchant stories that drive discovery and engagement.
  • Independently design and build in-app content using Figma and Builder tools.
  • Apply strong editing and copywriting skills to ensure all content is polished, on-brand, and optimized for engagement.
  • Ensure accuracy in affiliate links, store codes, and placement tagging across all content.
  • Partner with the Ads/Affiliate team to align editorial content with sponsorship and partnership opportunities.


Campaign & Inventory Management

  • Oversee campaign booking and tracking across CRM, Social, Partner Marketing, and Ads/Affiliate channels.
  • Manage the Afterpay content inventory tracker, ensuring visibility into all active and upcoming campaigns.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure content placements are optimized for performance and value.
  • Collaborate on monthly campaign reporting and assist in post-campaign analysis and insights.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Marketing, CRM, Creative, and Partner Sales teams to ensure alignment on messaging and positioning.
  • Partner with Brand and Creative teams to bring campaigns to life through compelling, customer-centric content.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance partners to ensure messaging accuracy and adherence to brand and regulatory standards.


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Integrated, Product, Partner, or Content Marketing, ideally in e-commerce, fintech, or retail.
  • Proven success developing multi-channel content strategies that drive measurable engagement and conversion.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills; comfortable managing alignment across multiple stakeholders and teams.
  • Deep experience with content creation, campaign management, and editorial execution, including working with creative teams and external partners.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance strategy and execution across multiple initiatives.
  • Analytical and data-driven — able to translate campaign results into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, adapting to evolving business priorities.
  • Proficiency with content tools such as Figma, Builder, and Asana (or similar workflow management platforms).
  • A passion for commerce, storytelling, and building engaging customer experiences that connect brands and merchants.
  • Education: Good to have but not a hard requirement.
