Responsibilities

• Assess trading cards for condition, authenticity, and grading criteria using specialized tools and industry standards
• Document detailed reports on card condition, including centering, corners, edges, surface quality, and any flaws or damages
• Maintain meticulous records of each grading assessment to ensure transparency and traceability
• Collaborate with team members to develop and refine grading standards based on evolving industry practices
• Conduct data collection and analysis to identify trends in card conditions and grading accuracy
• Utilize financial software and data management systems to track grading metrics and inventory levels
• Provide expert advice and support to customers regarding card valuation, grading processes, and authentication procedures

Experience

• Proven experience in trading card grading or a related field such as collectibles appraisal or authentication
• Strong background in financial concepts, including financial analysis, modeling, and report writing related to collectibles valuation
• Knowledge of accounting principles and technical accounting practices applicable to valuation processes
• Familiarity with financial software tools used for data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Experience with litigation or dispute resolution involving collectibles or authentication issues is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative research and apply mathematical skills to assess card conditions accurately
• Prior exposure to tax experience or financial reporting within the collectibles industry is advantageous
