Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow at construction sites. This position requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operations and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The Traffic Controller will be responsible for directing vehicles and pedestrians, maintaining safety protocols, and coordinating with construction crews.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic flow around construction sites to ensure safety for both workers and the public.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed, including but not limited to loaders, graders, and dump trucks.
• Conduct utility locating to prevent damage to underground services during construction activities.
• Collaborate with construction teams to facilitate smooth operations and minimize disruptions.
• Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control measures as necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with team members regarding site activities and traffic patterns.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize potential hazards on-site.
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and the public.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety.
• Valid driver's license is preferred.
