Trailer Mechanic Apprentice

Mega Truck & Trailer Repair is hiring a Shop Helper / Mechanic Apprentice to assist our trailer repair technicians and learn the truck and trailer repair trade.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on mechanical experience while working alongside experienced mechanics. The right candidate will help with daily shop operations and develop the skills needed to grow into a Trailer Mechanic role.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with trailer repairs and maintenance
• Help position tools, parts, and equipment during repairs
• Support brake, suspension, and trailer component work
• Pick up parts and materials from local vendors when needed
• Unload deliveries and organize parts inventory
• Operate forklift to move materials (training provided)
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
• Learn trailer repair procedures and shop operations

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working in a shop/industrial environment

Preferred (Not Required)

• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Shop, warehouse, or construction experience
• Forklift experience
