Trailer Service/Repair Technician

Overview

Seeking a Trailer Service/ Repair Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience or background in Trailer maintenance, service and repair, with familiarity in Trailer Axles, Hubs, Brakes, 12V Electrical wiring/ lights, and other basic trailer functions, or similar experience. You should have good communication skills to aid in customer service when necessary. This role does require some heavy lifting, please be able to lift at least 50lbs comfortably. As a Trailer Technician you play a crucial role in ensuring that all trailers are safe and reliable for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of light/medium duty trailers up to 40 ft. (No Semi-Truck Trailers)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot suspension, brakes, hubs/bearings and electrical issues.
• Provide excellent customer service (if needed, very rare customer interaction as a tech).
• Operate forklift to move trailers and equipment as necessary.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks associated with trailer repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on trailers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanic, Trailer Technician or similar role/ experience.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (at least 50 pounds).
• Familiar with basic hand and power tools.
• Basic Familiarity with fabrication techniques and tools. Welding experience a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, listening skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions when necessary.
• Ability to work independently and complete a job from start to finish once training is complete.
• Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
• Consistent reliability and adherence to the work schedule.
