Trainee Database Developer

Role Description

As a Trainee Database Developer you must have basic knowledge of C, C++, object oriented concepts, data structure, MS SQL Server, a strong understanding of database concepts such as joins, transactions, deadlocks, group by, aggregate functions and data warehouse concepts. You should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models. You must have a strong understanding in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. You will work as part of a collaborative Agile development team, and be supported by colleagues to help grow your experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing and maintaining solutions that are both reliable and scalable.
• Proactively recommending solutions to improve new and existing features of the application.
• Ensuring implementation procedures comply with internal and external regulations.
• Collaborating with functional teams across the business to deliver end-to-end products.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of database structure systems.
• Strong understanding of database concepts such as joins, transactions, deadlocks, group by, aggregate functions and data warehouse concepts.
• Strong understanding of security principles and how they apply to web applications.
• Good basic knowledge of C,C++, object oriented concepts, data structure.
• Basic knowledge of networking.
• Familiar with Microsoft SQL Database Management System.
• Familiar with database design, data maintenance, database security, data analysis and mining.
• Familiar with MS SQL Server.
• Fluency in both written and verbal English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work collaboratively to achieve objectives.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
