Trainee Dental Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. As a Dental Nurse, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organised environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
• Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, answering their questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members to ensure a seamless workflow within the practice.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest dental practices and technologies.

Requirements

• Qualified as a Dental Nurse with relevant certifications or working towards this qualification.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in IT systems for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
• A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
• Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
