This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the company as a Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist at our practice in Minster, Kent. You do not need any previous experience to apply for this position, so if you are interested in starting a new career in the dental sector then this is the best place to start.

Main roles and responsibilities:

· Provide high quality Dental nursing whilst assisting each Dentist/Therapist, in all procedures, in a safe and effective manner.

· Follow practice policies and procedures

· Establish, promote, and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team

· Assist with reception duties and perform other clerical duties if required

Clinical Nursing:

· Setting up the surgery and treatment trays, ready for each patient.

· Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available

· Ensure the General Dental Practitioner runs on time.

· Cleaning, sterilisation and storage of all dental equipment and instruments.

· Ensure the surgery is kept clean & tidy, and the surfaces are always cleaned and disinfected in-between patients and.

· Make sure all hazardous and non-hazardous waste is disposed of correctly.

· Checking of day list, ensuring the dentist has the correct patient records available.

· Ensure the care and welfare of patients.

Requirements:

· Advanced DBS clearance (provided by the company)

· Proof of right to work in UK (If not a UK citizen)

· 2 professional references will be required

· Photo ID/Proof of residence x 2

· First dose of HEP B vaccination

· Starting salary will be minimum wage however this may vary depending on experience

Working days will be Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)
• Dental Nursing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Valid GDC registration (preferred)
