Trainee ERP Functional Consultant - Odoo

About the Role

As a Trainee ERP Functional Consultant, you will learn to analyse client business workflows, configure Odoo modules to meet operational needs, and support end-users through implementation and go-live phases. This role blends business analysis, client communication, and hands-on ERP configuration.

You will be part of a delivery team working on real client projects. The role involves both office-based work and on-site visits to client premises within Lahore and to other cities as required. Travel readiness is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior consultants in gathering and documenting client business requirements
• Participate in Odoo module configuration across functional areas including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, HR, and Manufacturing
• Conduct gap analysis between client processes and Odoo standard functionality
• Support data migration activities including data mapping and template preparation
• Assist in preparing functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials
• Deliver end-user training sessions at client sites under the supervision of a senior consultant
• Provide go-live support and post-implementation assistance to clients
• Attend client meetings, requirement workshops, and demo sessions
• Travel to client sites within Lahore and to other cities across Pakistan as project needs demand
• Log issues, track resolutions, and maintain project documentation throughout the engagement

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree (completed or in final year) in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Understanding of core business functions: Finance, Supply Chain, HR, or Sales Operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Urdu
• Confident personality - comfortable presenting and speaking in front of clients
• Willingness to travel to client sites within and outside Lahore
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of managing tasks independently
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Excel skills especially important

Nice to Have

• Prior exposure to any ERP system
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles or bookkeeping
• Experience in client-facing or customer support roles (even part-time or academic)
• Familiarity with business process mapping or flowcharting tools
• Any coursework, certification, or self-study on Odoo or ERP fundamentals

Travel & Field Work

This role involves regular client site visits. You must be available and willing to travel as follows:

• Within Lahore: frequent day visits to client offices for requirement sessions, training, and go-live support
• Outside Lahore: occasional multi-day trips to client sites in other cities across Pakistan - travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the company
