Trainee Hardware Engineer (Power Electronic)

Position Summary:

As a Trainee R&D Engineer, you will work closely with our experienced engineers and researchers to develop and test cutting-edge power electronics solutions. This position is ideal for a recent graduate who has completed their Final Year Project (FYP) in Power Electronics and is eager to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of power electronics systems and components.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct research and feasibility studies on new technologies and applications.
• Participate in the development of prototypes and experimental setups for testing and validation purposes.
• Perform simulations and analysis of power electronics circuits using industry-standard software tools.
• Document research findings, technical reports, and project progress.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to power electronics.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in power electronics and related fields.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Completed Final Year Project (FYP) in Power Electronics.
• Strong understanding of power electronics principles, circuit design, and control systems.
• Proficiency in simulation and design tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of microcontrollers, digital signal processors (DSPs), and embedded systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations in power electronics.
• Experience with PCB design and layout.
