We’re looking for a Trainee Solar Installer / Electrician to join our growing team at Greenio.

This role is ideal for someone with some hands-on/site experience who wants to build a long-term career in solar, electrics, and renewables. You’ll be working on real projects from day one, learning on the job with clear progression into installer and electrician roles.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with solar PV installations on residential and commercial projects
• Supporting electricians with wiring, cable runs, and system setup
• Helping mount panels and prepare roof installations
• Handling tools, materials, and keeping sites organised
• Learning industry standards, compliance, and best practices

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Some hands-on/site experience (construction, roofing, labouring, electrical mate or similar)
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Over 21 (to meet company vehicle insurance requirements)
• 18th Edition (City & Guilds Electrical Installations)
• Valid Installation Electrician Gold Card
• Comfortable working outdoors and at height
• Reliable, hard-working, and keen to learn
• Good attitude and team player

Strongly Preferred (but not all essential):

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (ideal for testing and certifying own work)
• Experience with solar PV, battery storage, or EV chargers
• IPAF (MEWPs – cherry pickers/scissor lifts)
• PASMA (mobile scaffold towers)
• Roofing experience
