TEN Credit Union is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our training team as a Trainer.

This position will be based out of our Main branch located in Nashville, TN.

Hours are generally Monday-Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Compensation: $21.00-$24.00/ hourly depending on experience

Day-to-Day Job Duties

As a Trainer, you will facilitate employee training including teller, member services, accounts, loans and additional general training as needed. Deliver exceptional training which enhances our employees' ability to learn new processes, technology, and day-to-day operations and supports their professional development and on-the-job knowledge.

Duties/Responsibilities

The following duties should not be interpreted as all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Trains new and existing employees on teller functions, acts as back - up trainer for new accounts, specialty account functions, call center functions, video banking functions, and basic loan functions.
  • Complete a minimum 30-day training course on the teller line to ensure a comprehensive understanding of credit union operations, which is essential for developing expertise in our products, polices and member/employee services.
  • Coordinates and facilitates new employee onboarding.
  • Assists in designing, planning, and organizing training programs for employees to set them up for success in their positions.
  • Designs and prepares educational aids and materials such as Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), participation manuals, handouts, etc.
  • Develops and maintains training materials, guides, and published procedures for effective training methods.
  • Administration of the Learning Management System to include assigning training, generating reports, tracking completion of training course completion, sending notifications of course reset requests to leaders, and creating or uploading content in the Learning Management System (LMS) as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains training materials, guides, and published procedures for effective training methods.
  • Research training and development trends to ensure best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to communicate information in a variety of mediums and learning styles.
  • Excellent organization skills: ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize duties.
  • Above-average interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal direction; ability to use cognitive skills for sound decision making.
  • Excellent presentation abilities; familiarity with presentation tools and software.
  • Above-average skills working with computer applications and working with multiple programs and platforms; familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Adheres to Credit Union regulations and TENCU policies, ensuring all aspects of training support these requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of all member service functions and core products/services.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to speak loudly and clearly for the purpose of giving training presentations.
  • Ability to use a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a financial institution; preferred experience in teller and account services.

TRAVEL

Ability to travel required includes all TENCU Middle and East Tennessee branch locations.

To be hired for this position the candidate must pass a drug screen and background check.
