Kids HQ is currently seeking a self-motivated, growth minded Training & Implementation Specialist for our child care center in Oshkosh. This is an hourly position, based on experience and would require you to be available to work Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our staff is discouraged from working overtime and we offer paid time off after 90 days. We strive to create flexibility for work-life balance as long as you are a diligent in making sure the center is thriving, even in your absence.
In addition to paid time off, our company provides dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, and long term disability. There is no cost to the employees for the any of these benefits.
Experience working in a child care classroom is NOT a requirement if you can demonstrate the ability to implement and maintain procedures. We are seeking someone with the experience and problem solving skills to evaluate the activities happening within the center each day and work with the team members to continuously improve the experiences of children, parents and staff. We ask that you strive for having clearly defined goals for each team member and support them in showcasing the learning themes that have been outlined for them in schedules, lesson plans or daily activities. Your guidance would encourage everyone to be consistent in their expectations for their classrooms and to make sure that children all training or procedures are retrained as needed to ensure everyone has the best opportunities to develop. As the Training Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Direct contact for staff questions and concerns
- Pride yourself on learning the company, state and Youngstar requirements to strive for highest ratings.
- Monitor classroom activities and practices to offer support as needed
- Develop strategies for collecting feedback from parents, staff and management
- Gain exceptional knowledge of center’s software and monitor use for training opportunities
- Be experienced in or willing to do any role within business operations alongside staff to better understand the processes or procedures
- Assist Administrative staff with maintaining state compliant children and staff files
- Onboarding for new staff and continuously improve orientation process
- Assist with licensing evaluations and center-level continuous improvement projects
- Assist with hiring as needed to build a high performing team
- Monitor staff training requirements, recommend courses based on each staff member’s needs and ensure continuing education requirements are met annually.
- Oversee weekly one-on-one training meetings with each staff member to discuss obstacles, successes and the ongoing development of the individual training plans.
- Maintaining staff and center profiles on The Registry
- Create professional development plans for each staff member
- Willingness to support center operations as part of a small business where we manage collaboratively instead of in areas of expertise

- Passionate about seeing our center become a preferred place to work and for children to attend
- Participate in continuing education and have (or obtain) the minimum educational requirements as outlined by the
State of Wisconsin and The Registry to act as a Lead Teacher.
-Familiarity with Google suite of applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc) preferred but not required
- Proven ability to coach others
