Job Description
- Screen and verify the list of students who meet Industrial Training eligibility requirements, and communicate with eligible students regarding application submission and deadlines.
- Manage the student application process, including sorting applications and allocating students to approved companies in accordance with established procedures and policies.
- Conduct orientation sessions for eligible students to explain training procedures, Industrial Training requirements, assessment methods, and grading distribution.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local, regional, and international organizations and companies (public and private) to secure suitable training opportunities for students across all college departments.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with academic supervisors at the beginning of each semester to clarify roles, procedures, assessment criteria, and student follow up mechanisms.
- Coordinate student transportation and accommodation, when required, in accordance with university policies and available resources.
- Organize pre internship workshops and preparatory sessions for students, in coordination with relevant stakeholders within and outside the university.
- Coordinate the recognition and appreciation of companies and organizations that host and support engineering students training.
- Collect and consolidate Industrial Training course grades in coordination with academic supervisors and industrial supervisors from host organizations.
- Create and manage Industrial Training course sections using UAEU systems such as Blackboard, and provide technical support when needed.
- Follow up on academic supervisors' site visits, ensuring visits are conducted as scheduled and reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintain and regularly update a database of training companies, student placements, and supervisor reports for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Monitor student attendance, performance, and compliance with training requirements throughout the internship period, and address issues in coordination with supervisors.
- Ensure all Industrial Training activities comply with college and university regulations, accreditation requirements, and health and safety guidelines.
- Prepare periodic reports and statistics on internship placements, student performance, and industry engagement for the college administration.
- Support continuous improvement of the Industrial Training program by collecting feedback from students, academic supervisors, and industry partners.
- Provide high quality and professional support services to students, academic supervisors, and industry partners by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring a positive and well coordinated Industrial Training experience for all stakeholders.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
Preferred Qualification
- Master's degree preferred
