Job Summary
The Training Specialist is responsible for the day to day logistics of the Training program including administration of the learning management system (LMS), supporting the Director of Training in delivering internal and external training, and communicating across departments to ensure the seamless operation of our training program and timely completion of required coursework. This role involves troubleshooting user issues, updating course materials, and enrolling new users in the LMS. The Training Specialist will also manage the training calendar, administer new hire orientation schedules, track required certifications, and assist in document management and uploads to maintain accurate records within our digital learning environment. Additionally, the Training Specialist will support learning opportunities such as CEUs, EMDR training, and others by issuing certificates and helping with logistics.
Schedule and Compensation
Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
$45,000 - $50,000 as determined by the department head and hiring manager with consideration to education and experience
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS)
Troubleshoot LMS issues reported by users and educate new users as needed
Create and update LMS content and course materials
Enroll new users in the LMS
Manage status changes to employee profiles in LMS
- Track required training certifications in the LMS and outside the LMS as needed
Assist with documentation uploads
Produce reports to show completion rates and communicate status to supervisors and Executive Team
Maintain accurate training records and generate reports for compliance and performance tracking
- Manage the training calendar, working alongside the Training Committee to ensure accuracy
- Assist the Director of Training with administrative tasks related to conducting staff training
- Schedule training spaces
- Communicate with participants in advance and following a training
- Maintain HR Training records issued outside of the LMS
- Research outside training resources as requested
- Communicate with outside vendors utilized for training
- Assist with evaluating training programs by collecting participant feedback and preparing reports.
- Issue CEU certificates to participants and support the CEU team with logistics as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience considered
- 1+ years experience with digital system management preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365 including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Automate
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail required
- Must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects and constituents
