Job Summary:

The Training Support Specialist plays a vital role in bringing the Another Broken Egg Cafe Mission, Vision and Values to life by leading training and facilitation for new cafe openings across both franchise and corporate locations. This role partners closely with the Senior Manager of Training and Vice President of Franchise Operations and Training to ensure consistency, excellence, and a seamless brand experience.

As a Training Support Specialist, you will help create environments where teams feel confident, supported, and inspired to deliver Happy People sharing Happiness every day.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead New Cafe Opening training for corporate and franchise locations, ensuring all teams are set up for success
  • Partner with Management teams, Territory Managers and Franchisees to ensure exceptional on brand training experiences
  • Manage staffing and travel requirements for new cafe openings
  • Support and follow up on New Manager Training in the field to ensure consistency and retention.
  • Collaborate with Training Team and other departments to deliver and continuously improve training programs, including:
    • Cafe management training
    • Menu rollouts
    • New franchisee onboarding
    • Certified Trainer and Certified Cafe development
  • Reinforce the ABEA culture, ensuring it becomes part of the everyday experience for every Team Member.
  • Conduct training needs, assessments and proactively develop solutions to close performance and knowledge gaps.
  • Foster a learning environment based on adult learning principles that ensures optimal comprehension, development, and retention
  • Provide clear, timely and actionable evaluations and feedback to trainees and their manager
  • Support cafe operations by running Manager shifts when needed: represent ABEA in a professional manner in accordance with our philosophy, culture, brand standards and corporate policies

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident and engaging public speaker with strong facilitation skills
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Ability to design and implement effective training
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines working under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate and communicate seamlessly with all levels
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Self- motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Training and Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, or similar; or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience with learning management systems; Experience with Articulate preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both verbal and written preferred
  • 1-2 years of successful restaurant training experience
  • 1-2 years of new restaurant opening experience
  • Strong project management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Approximately 50-75% of travel is required
