JOB SUMMARY:

Looking for a friendly, outgoing local to Alfred and the surrounding area who can process transaction requests, Disburse negotiable instruments, Interact with and provide Credit Union information to members, and Cross sell Credit Union products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process transaction requests. Disburse negotiable instruments. Interact with and provide Credit Union information to members. Cross sell Credit Union products.
  • Greet and respond to member inquiries, requests, or problems. Handle complaints as necessary.
  • Provide personalized, professional service to all members in an exceptional manner, seeking out opportunities to exceed member expectations and deepen relationships
  • Interact with members to explain, promote and offer products and services accordingly
  • Obtain a thorough working knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, procedures and policies
  • Process transaction requests: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, money orders, official checks, cash advances, wires, check orders, merchandise
  • Log and process mail and night deposits
  • Assist members with stop payments, photo copies of share drafts, payroll deduction, Debit and credit cards, online banking, bill pay, RDC, telephone teller, cross member transfers, IRA’s, Share Certificates, and address changes.
  • Back up receptionist and contact center
  • Assist with cleanliness of work and office areas and maintenance of machinery
  • Any other job duties as assigned by supervisor/management
  • Comply with all safety and security policies, practices and procedures. Report any unsafe or suspicious activities to your supervisor
  • Community involvement is a requirement of this position as outlined in the ServU Employee Handbook
  • Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Performs related responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position requires standing for long periods of time (4 to 8 hours)
  • Basic personal computer skills
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good grammar and communication skills
  • Friendly social skills and professional appearance
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Timeliness and regularity of attendance are essential to the job
  • Ability to count money and make mathematical computations

The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors determined by law.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.87 per hour
