Job Description
The Curry Law Firm, PLLC is seeking a Part-Time Transactional Attorney to assist with pre-litigation and transactional legal work, including demand letters, negotiations, and contract-related matters. This position is fully remote and ideal for an attorney seeking flexible, project-based work.
Our firm focuses on business, real estate, and estate planning matters and takes a practical, results-driven approach to legal services.
Responsibilities
- Draft and revise demand letters and pre-litigation correspondence
- Handle negotiations and settlement discussions prior to litigation
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, releases, and settlement documents
- Prepare pre-litigation legal analyses and strategy memoranda
- Communicate with clients regarding legal strategy and next steps
- Coordinate with litigation counsel when matters escalate to formal litigation
- Manage assigned matters independently and meet deadlines
- Maintain organized records and documentation for assigned matters
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the State of Texas
- Experience in transactional law, business law, or real estate law
- Strong drafting skills, especially demand letters and contracts
- Experience with negotiations and dispute resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with LexisNexis or Westlaw preferred
