Hillside Christian Academy is a small, faith-based school serving young learners in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. Our classrooms are intentionally small, allowing teachers to build strong relationships with students and families while integrating academic excellence with biblical values.
We are seeking a caring, organized, and mission-minded TK/K Teacher who has a heart for early childhood education and a passion for Christian ministry.
In this role, you will inspire young learners during their crucial early childhood years, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes spiritual growth, academic development, and social-emotional skills. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay a strong foundation for children’s lifelong love of learning while integrating faith-based principles into daily activities.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood learning standards
- Integrate Christian faith and biblical values into daily classroom activities
- Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support students’ academic, emotional, and spiritual development
- Maintain regular communication with parents and school leadership
- Monitor student progress and maintain basic records
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and parent conferences
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and clear expectations
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Incorporate physical education activities into daily routines to promote healthy movement and motor skills development
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student assessments, attendance, and other administrative documentation
Requirements
- Experience teaching early childhood, TK, or Kindergarten preferred
- Understanding of child development and play-based learning
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Alignment with the Christian mission and values of the school
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- California teaching credentials or ECE units are a plus (not always required depending on program structure)
- Passion for mentoring children within a Christian educational framework and commitment to nurturing their spiritual growth

Pay: $43,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
