Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Sohar for a Translator specializing in Chinese. The Translator will be responsible for accurately translating various documents, technical manuals, and communication materials from Chinese to English and vice versa. The Translator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure precise and contextually accurate translations. Additionally, the role includes interpreting meetings, training sessions, and phone calls as needed to support effective communication between Chinese-speaking clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Chinese and English languages, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in translating technical documents, manuals and materials
• Experience in interpreting meetings and communications
• Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
• Knowledge of fire and safety industry terminology is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
